Yosemite

Back in September we took a trip to Yosemite National Park. This was my first time visiting there and it was so incredible! We drove in through the east entrance down Tioga Road stopping first at Mono Lake ( no the lake does not give you the kissing disease) is has all these weird formations coming out of it. Apparently it is a salt water lake similar to the Great Salt Lake, however coming up underneath it are fresh water springs. When the two waters meet minerals in each mix and immediately harden forming there pillars. There's your geology lesson for the day. Pretty cool.

Mono Lake

We spent two days in Yosemite touring the valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. In both places we decided to take tram tours since we had Maisey with us. We thought that would be the best way to see the most of the area. It was a little strange since we were the youngest, non foreigners on the tour. Even though we normally would have never thought to take a tour it was actually really informative, especially the Mariposa Grove tour. It was perfect with Maisey. We saw all the main sites and made plans for all the things we want to go back and do, namely, climb half dome! That looks so amazing.

Maisey was so good. It was a little hard for her at night. As you can see in this picture, after crying for a while she finally just gave up and fell over and went to sleep. She is just folded over her little legs. After taking this picture I went and unfolded her so she could sleep better.
