Highchair success!

Thanks for all the comments and tips on picking a highchair. Since we are in a rather small apartment we took the advice of most of you and bought a space saving high chair that fits on top of a regular chair.

Space Saving High Chair
However, when we put Maisey in it and tried to feed her it did not go over so well. She hated it! I think it's because she is pretty small and the chair completely dwarfed her. She couldn't hardly get her hands up on top of the tray and she was strapped in so completely that I think she felt like she couldn't move (although she actually could). She seemed so frustrated and then she started crying and I thought, after all this we bought a chair she doesn't like!!! What now! So we went back to the store and bought the booster seat below.
Booster Seat/highchair
The booster seat worked much better. I think it is because she has been feeding in her bebe pod seat this whole time and the booster seat is very similar to that. The only difference is that she is strapped in and it has a bigger tray.
On a side note, the strapping in part was very important since yesterday, literally 30 minutes before her doctors appointment, Maisey was sitting in her bebe pod, decided she wanted out, so she launched herself face first onto the bathroom floor. This resulted in a fat lip and red marks on her chin and nose. Sort of a good thing we had the doctors appointment but then again I hate going in there with Maisey all banged up like I'm not taking care of her or something.
Anyways, thanks for all the help!

I am glad you found one that works for her!I was amazed that everyone agreed on the booster style seat rather than a high chair. I thought I was out of the norm! Good to know!

I don't know anything about high chairs, but glad the second one worked out. It looks like a fun one!

Congrats on the plaque! You can just put it next to John's trophies or newspaper clips, etc to start your own little shrine!

Did my wife suggest the space saver high chair? Funny story, sometimes she gets her words mixed up and she says "space saver high chair" when she really means to say "Fisher Price Rainforest Healthy Care Booster seat product # M3176". I can see where the confusion could come in. Glad to see that you guys were able to see through the mis-speaking and take our advice! -Dave

Cute booster seat! I wish we had one that fit onto a chair. But we got one for a gift and it will work I guess. Poor Maisey. I hate it when they get hurt.
